Loxion Deep - Amapholas (Soweto Vibe) ft. Dj Stokie

South African Amapiano producer Loxion Deep has reunited with celebrated DJ and producer DJ Stokie for “Amapholas (Soweto Vibe),” a collaborative recording featured on his latest album, My Father's Records. Released through Content Connect Africa on October 9, 2026, the song represents another creative partnership between two musicians recognised for their contributions to South Africa's Amapiano scene. The composition draws inspiration from Soweto's distinctive musical identity, connecting contemporary electronic production with the township's longstanding cultural influence. Its inclusion on the album highlights Loxion Deep's commitment to exploring personal heritage, musical memories, and the sounds that shaped his artistic development.

“Amapholas (Soweto Vibe)” occupies the third position on the 15-track My Father's Records album, following “Izitha” and preceding “Ngiphendule.” The original mix runs for approximately seven minutes and fifty-eight seconds, with a tempo of 113 BPM and a key of E-flat minor. Classified under Amapiano, the recording forms part of a project that incorporates jazz, deep house, and soulful influences. The collaboration also builds on the established musical relationship between Loxion Deep and DJ Stokie, whose previous shared recordings include “Wamuhle.” The album features additional contributions from Gaba Cannal, Sol Phenduka, Zoolu, and several other performers, presenting a broad selection of South African electronic music.

With “Amapholas (Soweto Vibe),” Loxion Deep and DJ Stokie bring renewed attention to the musical heritage of Soweto while expanding their collaborative discographies. The track serves as a focus recording from My Father's Records, an album inspired by the producer's father's vinyl collection and the connection between family history and musical identity. Listeners searching for new Amapiano songs, South African house music, and October 2026 releases can explore this collaboration alongside the complete project. Its combination of established performers and culturally meaningful inspiration makes it a notable addition to the country's contemporary dance music catalogue.
