Issi - Safe

South African rapper Issi delivers a more measured moment on “Safe,” the third track from his 2026 project 6lekkes ~ Rd 6. Released on September 25 through BIG EAGLE MUSIC, the song runs for 2 minutes and 49 seconds and appears between “Ishayile” and “No More Tears,” giving it an important place in the early section of the eight-track release. Apple Music confirms 6lekkes ~ Rd 6 as a 2026 Hip-Hop/Rap project containing eight songs, while Qobuz lists the complete runtime at 23 minutes and 56 seconds. “Safe” helps establish the project’s balance between concise solo records and more collaborative moments, showing Issi working within a focused format that avoids unnecessary excess.

Production on the track comes from Therealslaypapi, while Natasha MD contributes background vocals that bring extra texture to the record without turning it into a full guest-feature collaboration. That detail gives “Safe” a distinct character within the tracklist, especially since Issi remains the main voice while the supporting vocals subtly expand the atmosphere around him. SA Hip Hop Mag specifically highlighted Therealslaypapi’s production and Natasha MD’s background contribution when previewing the project, placing “Safe” alongside other carefully produced songs such as “Go Down Low” and “Ishayile.” The title also carries a strong emotional suggestion, naturally bringing ideas of trust, protection, peace of mind and personal boundaries into focus.

For listeners searching for Issi – Safe, new South African hip-hop, Durban rap or standout tracks from 6lekkes ~ Rd 6, the song offers a compact but well-positioned example of Issi’s current direction. The project follows his earlier 2026 release Dawn ~ The Beginning and continues the Chesterville-born rapper’s steady development within the local hip-hop scene. SA Hip Hop Mag described the new project as another stage in his rise, noting that Issi continues to build his catalogue without relying heavily on hype. With its restrained runtime, Therealslaypapi’s production and Natasha MD’s understated vocal support, “Safe” adds a smoother layer to a release that moves comfortably between direct rap performances, emotional material and collaborative energy.
